Message from the Principal

Greetings Tesoro Families,

It is with great pride and excitement that I introduce myself as the newly appointed Principal of Tesoro High School.  I look forward to working with all members of the school community to provide a great student experience and ensure student success.  I am eager to lead the Tesoro team and build strong relationships with parents, students, staff and our community.

I have lived and worked in the CUSD community for almost 30 years, which included a one year stint at Tesoro.  In that short time, I was able to witness the amazing teachers at work, the excitement and excellence of the student body, and the unwavering commitment of the Tesoro parents and community.  This unity and commitment to success has been on display over the past year when all of these groups have come together to keep Tesoro as one of the premier high schools in the country.  I would like to thank Dr. Burch and Mr. Bellante for coming out of retirement to assist in these efforts.  Joining and leading such an outstanding school is truly a pleasure.

I am excited to continue the rich traditions of academic, athletic and extra-curricular excellence, while staying true to the long time school motto, “Do the Right and Proper Thing.”  We will build on the past and current accomplishments, to keep Tesoro at the top of its game.  This will include providing our students with 21st Century skills, a safe and nurturing school environment, data driven instructional goals, and rigorous and engaging lessons.

As Principal, my door is always open and I welcome your input and collaboration.  I look forward to making the 2018-19 school year one of Tesoro’s best ever.

Go Titans!

Ken Ezratty

Principal
